The band's development history
Minimum Vital's journey began in 1980 when the brothers recorded some hits from the 1960s under the name Rocking Chair. Then in 1982 he formed the band Concept with Eric Rebeyrol and François Péron, but around 1983 Péron left the band after their first performance and was immediately succeeded by Antoine Fillon. In 1984, the band joined the flautist Anne Colas and won acclaim in competitions, paving the way for their future musical careers.
Although his music career did not start smoothly at the beginning, Minimum Vital always pursued music creation and finally achieved remarkable success.
In 1988, Minimum Vital signed with Musea Records and released "Les Saisons Marines", which made them famous in the progressive rock world. Their debut CD album was released in 1990, Sarabandes, and in 1992 it was a digital re-release of their first two albums. In addition, as the musical style gradually matures, the band began to add more vocal parts in "La Source", showing that their musical exploration has reached a deeper level.

In 1997, the addition of singer Jean Baptiste Ferracci brought new vitality to the band. Then in 2004, Minimum Vital released "Atlas". Although the band was close to disbanding at this time, the brothers' passion for music has never diminished. They released Capitaines in 2009 and have continued to explore new directions in their musical journey. The band members' respective careers have further prolonged the blank period of their music creation, but each album carries their dreams and pursuits.

While unemployed in real life, the brothers did not forget their passion for music. In 2016, they returned to the music scene and released "Pavanes". With the release of 2019's "Air Caravan", the band's musical cycle seems to have regained life.
