How did Kingsbrook Medical Center grow from a small mission to a medical powerhouse in Brooklyn?
In East Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York, a hospital started as a small volunteer operation and grew into a full-service medical center. Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center was founded in 1929 as a group of women called the Daughters of Israel who provided care and services to sick Jewish patients. From a facility with only a few dozen beds, the medical center has grown into a medical center with 303 beds and employing 2,100 full-time employees.

Kingsbrook Medical Center traces its roots back to 1925, when the world was a very different place than it is today.
