In the current political environment, fact-checking has become a basic tool for most voters to evaluate the statements of candidates.

The history of fact-checking can be traced back to the 19th century. With the rapid development of news and public opinion, people have higher requirements for the authenticity of news. With the rise of media outlets such as The New York World, fact-checking departments have been established to verify the accuracy of reports and statements. In recent years, with the proliferation of false information, independent fact-checking organizations, such as PolitiFact and FactCheck.org, have begun to gain attention, and their emergence has made the fact-checking process more objective and transparent.
