What is Situs Ambiguus? What is the story behind this rare disease?
Situs ambiguus, a rare congenital defect characterized by abnormal distribution of major internal organs. By definition, Situs ambiguus, or heterotaxy, means that organs in the body do not follow the traditional left-right symmetrical arrangement during development, resulting in significant abnormalities in the function of the heart and other internal organs.

This condition is different from situs inversus, a condition in which the arrangement of all organs in the abdomen and chest are mirror images, exactly the opposite of normal. Signs and symptoms
