A century-old intersection: How did the New York subway merge three major systems?
The New York City Subway, as one of the busiest rapid transit systems in the United States, carries more than 5.65 million passengers every day in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens. The operator of this giant system is the New York City Transit Authority, part of the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
