THE BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS OF PREGNANT WOMEN PARTICIPATION ON THE COMMUNITY HEALTHY LIFE MOVEMENT (Germas) PROGRAM IN KUTA BARO COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER, ACEH BESAR

 

Abstract


The community healthy life program (germas) is a program that designed to improve the community health including the health og pregnant women. Kuta baro community health center is one of the community health centers in aceh besar that has implemented the community healthy life movement program for pregnant women, however, the number of the fourth visit (k4) is still very low. The number still not fulfills the required number of visit that outlined in the sustainable development goals (SDGs) target. The study aims to investigate the relationship of pregnant women knowledge and behavior on the community healthy life movement program with physical activity during the pregnancy period, fruit and veggies intake anda routine pregnancy check-up. This study is a quantitative study that incorporates the cross-sectional design. The population was all of the pregnant woment with the gestational age under 36 weeks in kuta baro community health center. The sample was chosen by using random sampling technique and the data was collected through a questonnaire. The data was analyzed by using logistic regression test. The result showed that there was a relationship between pregnant women education, profession, gravida and knowledge and pregnant women behavior, physical activities\xa0 fruit and vegies intake and pregnancy routine check up with germas program\xa0 (P-value ≤ 0,05). The study also revealed that there is no relationship between age with germas, physical activities, fruit/vegies intake and routine pregnancy checkup with the p-value > 0,05. The result showed\xa0 that the most dominant variable was the pregnancy women behavior. From the study, it can be concluded that the pregnant women is very attentive in taking care of their pregnancy. They are also very responsive towards germas program which is shown by their behavior, physical activities, fruit/vegies intake as well as\xa0 their participation in getting their pregnancy check up for at least four (4) visits during the pregnancy.
