Pleomorphic mantle cell lymphoma mimicking diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma in peripheral blood and bone marrow
Abstract
IMAGE 1 Peripheral blood smears (upper left panels; 1000× magnification) and bone marrow aspirate smear (upper right panel; 1000× magnification) containing large, atypical, lymphocytes, including cells with irregular nuclear contours and nucleoli. Double immunostaining of neoplastic cells in the bone marrow biopsy demonstrated that these cells are positive for BSAP (brown nuclear staining) and CD5 (red cytoplasmic staining; left lower quadrant), as well as Cyclin D1 (brown nuclear staining) and CD20 (red cytoplasmic staining; right lower quadrant).
