Self-indicative Gold Nanozyme for H2O2 and glucose sensing.
Abstract
In addition to the superior enzyme mimicking abilities, nanozymes also possess intrinsic physicochemical properties. Integrating the enzyme-like activities with the tunable physicochemical properties into a single nanoparticle is a promising strategy for versatile nanozyme design and application. Herein, we present a composite nanozyme of Au nanoparticles encapsulated by Au nanocluster (AuNP@AuNCs). Through integrating the peroxidase-mimicking ability of fluorescent Au nanocluster with the glucose oxidase-activity of Au nanoparticle, the composite nanozyme realized cascade assay of glucose without the aid of external indicators. Compared to traditional multistep colorimetric method, the analysis process was highly simplified using the self-responsive nanozyme. This synthetic strategy provided valuable insights to explore talented nanozyme for diverse targets sensing.
