Abstract
Foreign body aspiration (FBA) is one of the most challenging and emergent situations in the pediatric population. It is a cause of significant morbidity and mortality. In the United States, FBA was responsible for about 4800 deaths in 2013, or about 1 death per 100,000 children 0–4 years.
