SimFleet: A New Transport Fleet Simulator Based on MAS
Abstract
Mobility in the urban environment has undergone notable changes in recent years. The mobility of people or goods has been adapting to new technologies, emerging new mobility services for the potential users. In this sense, traditional vehicle fleets in a city are being transformed into more open fleets where their members can proactively decide whether or not to carry out certain services, with some of the centralized decisions disappearing. The management in terms of organization and strategies to follow of this type of open fleets is much more complex, which is why simulation tools that allow their analysis can be very useful. In this way, this paper presents an agent-based simulation tool for open fleets in open environments. The tool is instantiable in any type of fleet, in the paper presents an example of a fleet of taxis.
