A seawater desalination system utilizing solar and agro-waste biomass for producing high-quality drinking water has been developed by Empereal KGDS Renewable Energy company with initiative, guidance and funding from the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. This plant, based on renewable resources, has resulted in a meaningful and effective utilization of renewable resources for welfare of coastal villages suffering from water scarcity. The plant is reliable and sustainable. It enhances village economy and employment and empowers women. These advantages can also proliferate to other villages which have a similar environment.
