Carbonaceous Nanomaterials for Environmental Remediation
Abstract
This chapter provides a systematic and concise overview of the role of carbonaceous nanomaterials toward environmental remediation, in particular for water decontamination, gaseous adsorption, and soil reclamation based on recent progress from the latest reports. A brief summary of the different techniques that are available for environmental remediation and the mechanisms behind the role of carbonaceous nanomaterials on various pollutants is described. Furthermore, some of the synthesis and modification techniques to prepare carbon-based nanomaterials are outlined. Finally, the challenges and prospects are also summarized.
