Cushing’s Syndrome
Abstract
Cushing’s syndrome is the name given to a group of symptoms resulting from glucocorticoid excess. The majority of cases are the result of steroid administration, but pituitary, adrenal and ectopic causes also occur. The urine steroid profile is primarily useful for the investigation of adrenal Cushing’s syndrome.
