Vibration Control of 6 Dof Three-Wheeler Using Pid Controller

 
 

Abstract


In this paper, a six-DOF three-wheeler is modeled and the dynamic response of the three-wheeler is measured when the vehicle is moving on bump, random, sinusoidal road profiles, by using ADAMS–MATLAB Simulink co-simulation. An active suspension system is developed by applying PID control strategy to this model. The ride comfort of the three wheeler with active suspension system is compared with that of passive suspension system. It has been found that the ride comfort has been improved by applying PID control strategy.
