Application of Decision Tree Algorithm in Computer Foundation Achievement Analysis

Abstract

In colleges and universities, there are a large number of score data produced each semester. These data are often shelved. The effective achievement analysis using data mining technology will directly influence on the teaching reform. This article adopts the ID3 algorithm of decision tree in data analysis, including data acquisition, data processing, draw the decision tree, decision tree pruning, denoising and model accuracy evaluation stage and so on. As the training data, we choose the data of the final exam score of the Computer Foundation course and the basic information of the students of a class as the model. After repeated training, the model can analyze the probability of excellent, good and bad academic performance of students according to the basic information input. The accuracy rate of this algorithm is more than 90%, which can meet the actual needs. Therefore, the decision tree model meets the requirements of achievement analysis and analyzes the main influencing factors of achievement of students.
