Gender-Friendly Environment Is Essential

 

Abstract


In this chapter, the importance of organizational environment for female leaders’ growth is analyzed, since a gender-friendly environment is very helpful for the growth of female leaders. Studies reveal that the gender structure of an organization, referring to the gender of the top leader, the proportions of women leaders and women staff, affects the degree of gender discrimination in the organization and the growth of females.
