Biophysical Parameter Retrieval Using Full- and Dual-Pol SAR Data

 
 
 

Abstract


This chapter provides full- and dual-pol SAR data to assess multi-target inversion approaches for the semi-empirical Water Cloud Model. In addition to comparative analysis between retrieval results from multi-target techniques, analyzing the correlation between the estimated biophysical parameters and the observed ones against single-target approaches is necessary. In a cross-site experiment strategy, we also investigate a set of best inversion approaches for WCM. Apart from this, the utility of cloud computing platforms, such as the Google Earth Engine (GEE) and Amazon Web Services (AWS), is explored to generate crop inventory maps from operational Sentinel-1 SAR data sets.
