Abstract


Automated health diagnostic system uses Internet of Things (IoT) for remote diagnosis, constant patient monitoring and treatment. Monitoring health status of patients in rural areas is difficult task. Patients need to be monitored, and their health status has to be informed periodically (Venkateswarlu DS, Verma KS, Murthy KSRA in e-health networking to cater to rural health care and health care for the aged [1]). Hence, we propose automated healthcare system by which we can measure various health parameters and predict the disease. Our system utilizes the symptoms given by user through graphical user interface (GUI) and predicts the common diseases with the help of machine learning techniques. It also has a wearable monitoring system which is embedded with various sensors to measure health parameters like body temperature, step counting and blood oxygen levels. ECG module is used to measure heart parameters and is used for prediction of various heart-related diseases with help of algorithm. All the data is collected, stored and transmitted with the help of Wi-Fi module to a common device. The data which is stored using healthcare system can be accessed easily with the help of application login. Thus, IoT-based healthcare system effectively uses Internet to monitor patient health status and gives alert message in emergency cases.
