Acquired labial synechia in a virgin reproductive-aged woman: presentation and management
Abstract
In women of the reproductive age group, the presentation of labial adhesion is extremely rare, especially with no clinically apparent hormonal irregularities, prior trauma, surgery, or any evidence of scarring dermatoses. Although labial adhesionrelated complications are usually minor, severe adhesion may still result in recurrent infection, acute urinary retention, hydronephrosis, and sexual difficulties [1]. Timely diagnosis and management are important to reduce associated physical and psychological morbidity .
