A foot pressure sensor based on triboelectric nanogenerator for human motion monitoring

Abstract

With the development of information technology, data acquisition based on Internet of things (IoT) distributed sensor network becomes more and more important. Therefore, a novel triboelectric nanogenerator (SC-TENG) based on the sock cloth to harvest mechanical energy. The sock cloth and PTFE film constitute the triboelectric materials of SC-TENG, and the copper foil is used as the conductive electrode. The SC-TENG can not only be used to harvest mechanical energy, but also can be used as the self-powered sensor in the field of intelligent sports. The maximum V oc and I sc of SC-TENG can achieve 267\xa0V and 3.4\xa0µA, respectively. And the maximum output power can arrive at 225.6\xa0µW. As the lightweight, flexible and wearable TENG device, this design can promote the development of TENG devices in the intelligent sports.
