Flow and heat transfer in eccentric annulus
Abstract
Eccentric annular regions formed by two impermeable cylinders are considered. Flow of Newtonian fluid in the annular region in the presence of heat transfer is studied. The eccentric annulus is mapped to concentric annular region through conformal mapping. Analytical solution for both temperature and velocity is obtained and graphically depicted. An increase in eccentricity results in an increase in velocity but a decrease in temperature.
