Effect of burning straw in rural areas on ecological environment quality

Abstract

In order to further accurately analyze the impact of straw burning on ecological environment quality, the analysis method of straw burning on rural ecological environment quality was studied. Taking soil quality and air quality as examples, the effects of straw burning on ecological environment quality in rural areas were studied. The results showed that (1) incineration of straw reduced the water content, hardness, color, and organic carbon content and humus composition of 0–2 cm topsoil. The enzymatic activities of four enzymes in different soil layers decreased to different degrees. The effect of soil enzyme activity is mainly 0–2 cm and 2–5 cm; burning straw has the greatest impact on the microbial quantity of 0–2 cm, followed by 2–5 cm, and the microbial quantity of soil below 5 cm has no change; (2) straw burning has a great impact on air quality, the main pollutants are CO and PM10. In conclusion, the burning of straw in rural areas has a certain degree of negative impact on the quality of ecological environment.
