Simultaneous Estimation of Means of Two Sensitive Variables Using Ranked Set Sampling
Abstract
Abstract Ahmed, Sedory, and Singh (2017) introduced a pioneering idea of simultaneously estimating the means of two sensitive variables by taking a simple random and a with replacement sample. Bouza (2009) investigated the benefits of using ranked set sampling in the randomized response setup introduced by Chaudhury and Stenger (1992). In this chapter, following Bouza (2009), we have investigated the use of ranked set sampling when estimating the means of two sensitive variables. The situation when the ranking is made based on the first sensitive variable has been investigated and along similar lines other situations when ranking can be made on both or a second variable have been suggested for future studies.
