Waste Constituent Pathways

Abstract

Abstract Personal care products, pharmaceuticals, and other substances contain pollutants or precursors of pollutants that can harm public health and ecosystems. Waste constituents change in space and time. These substances follow pathways that can transport and transform them into toxic agents. This chapter applies the adverse outcome pathway and other exposure and toxicity pathways to waste management decision making.
