Abstract


Abstract Advanced application of green materials has depicted through characterization and its application on textiles to explore the developments in physical and chemical testing of advanced characterization including the importance of performance-based specifications in the textiles industry. Textile properties, providing in-depth coverage of each characteristic with specific applications, are addressed in this chapter with the main focus on high performance and technical textiles. Applications of textile materials using advanced green technology with enhanced functionality have been widespread in the field of different sectors of textiles. Graphene has emerged as a new revolutionary material due to its unique electrical, mechanical, and thermal properties, suitable for the functionalization of textiles. Application of dendritic structures opened up new opportunities for textile in coloration and functional finishing. Highly absorbent polymers are in use of various functional materials for textiles. Overall, the chapter considers recent and future research trends in the utility of polymeric nanofiber, dendrimers, plasma, and graphene materials on the functional application of textile materials along with characterization and testing.
