Poroelastodynamic response of layered unsaturated media in the vicinity of a moving harmonic load
Abstract
Abstract In this paper, the poroelastodynamic response of layered unsaturated media in the vicinity of a moving harmonic load is explored on the basis of a fully-coupled unsaturated Biot-type model. This model involves the effect of the capillary pressure, the compressibility of three phases and immiscible flows of two fluids, and considers typical viscous coupling, elastic coupling and inertial coupling in biphasic Biot model. Firstly, the governing equations of this model are established by a series of mathematical and algebraical manipulations. Then, the precise integration method and the double Fourier transform are utilized to solve these governing equations. To verify the accuracy of this method, the solution is compared with the existing result of saturated poroelastic media. Finally, parametric analyses are provided to discuss the influence of the saturation degree of soils, the moving velocity and angular frequency of moving loads, as well as the stratification on the poroelastodynamic behaviour of unsaturated media.
