Dipole transition elements and oscillator strengths for the doubly excited states in the helium atom
Abstract
Abstract We have investigated dipole transition elements and oscillator strengths for the doubly excited states of the helium atom using the correlated exponential wavefunctions. Dipole matrix elements along with oscillator strengths and transition wavelengths for various S-P and P-D transitions are reported. The results obtained from this work are comparable with the available data. Few dipole transitions for S-P and P-D states are reported for the first time in the literature. The prediction of this work would be of experimental interest.
