Visible light assisted acetone sensing characteristics of ZnO deposited over LED
Abstract
Abstract ZnO nanostructures were deposited by SILAR technique on commercially available light emitting diode (LED: λ(emission)\xa0~\xa0370–400\xa0nm) to minimize the light loss with low power consumption for light assisted vapor detection. XRD studies confirmed polycrystalline nature and morphology analysis shows formation of randomly oriented nanowires of ZnO. Light-assisted acetone detection in the mixed vapor environment such as formaldehyde, toluene, xylene and n-Butanol was studied. Also, an acetone detection mechanism under light illuminated condition was proposed.
