Synthesis of NiAl composite alloys by metallothermy method
Abstract
Abstract Composite alloys of nickel aluminides doped with zirconium were obtained by the out-of-furnace aluminothermic reduction method from nickel oxides and mineral concentrate, mainly containing zircon. When the content of Zr is 0.5 and 3.5\u202fwt%, grinding of the Al3Ni2 phase is observed, while at 1 and 2\u202fwt%, the phase size corresponds to an alloy without Zr. Scanning electron microscopy of the multiphase structure of the ingot by points showed that with the increase of Zr in the content of the alloy the number and variety of the forms of Zr-doped nickel aluminides lineally grow.
