Features of chip formation and wear of the tool when turning heat resisting steel

 
 

Abstract


Abstract The results of experimental studies of chip formation peculiarities and wear resistance of carbide inserts with a multi-layer wear-resistant coating obtained by chemical vapor-phase deposition when turning 08X18H10T corrosion-resistant heat-resistant steel are presented. The resulting patterns can be used to improve the cutting tools efficiency.
