Abstract

Abstract The superior qualities of aluminum alloys and low production cost make them an exceptionally alluring possibility for an assortment of utilizations both from scientific and technological perspectives. In this work, the mechanical behavior of Aluminium alloy 6061 – Tungsten carbide (WC) particulate composite is investigated in comparison with unreinforced 6061 Aluminium alloy. Four different weight fractions 1%, 2%, ,3% and 4% of tungsten carbide particulates of size 5\u202fµm are introduced into the melt. The fabrication of specimen was carried out by stir casting process. Tensile strength and Hardness, test were performed on the samples under the stir casting process.
