A hot-wire flowmeter based on fiber Extrinsic Fabry-Pérot Interferometer with assitance of fiber Bragg grating
Abstract
Abstract In this paper, a hot-wire flowmeter based on the Extrinsic Fabry-Perot Interferometer cascaded with a Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG-EFPI) is presented. The flowmeter measured the flow velocity by measuring the temperature variation based on the hot-wire effect. The FBG-EFPI sensor spectrum has a high peak slope (169.47 dB/nm), which makes it excellent for measuring temperature. The detection range of the sensor is 100-3100 L/h and the resolution of the sensor is 10 L/h.
