Abstract

Abstract Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) are a huge cause of deaths worldwide, mainly due to cardiovascular diseases, chronic respiratory diseases, cancers, and diabetes. Among different NCDs cancer remains to be a formidable challenge in terms of therapeutics and overall survival rate. In 2015, there were 8.8 million deaths due to cancer globally, making it the second leading cause of death. In men the most common kinds of cancer are prostate, breast, colorectal, lung, colorectal, lung, stomach, and liver, while in women the most common cancers are lung, cervix, breast, colorectal, lung, and stomach. The current treatment option relies on CRS (chemo-radio-surgery) and depending upon the condition either all or any of are used in patients. The outcome in terms of survival rate is unpredictable and varies in cancer to cancer and condition of the patient. This scenario is pressing to find out some more reliable alternative therapeutics that can offer more personalized treatment and avoiding off targets therapeutics. The present chapter deals with heat therapy or so called as hyperthermia and immunotherapy application in cancer. These two therapies are discussed in detail as both these therapies are going to play a pivotal role in the cancer treatment.
