Harvesting the saphenous vein
Abstract
Abstract The saphenous vein remains in 2020 the most commonly used supplementary conduit to the left internal thoracic artery. Endoscopic vein harvest, when performed by as experienced provider, is the preferred approach. Maintaining high standard for quality for vein harvest is critical, especially at programs with declining coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) volume due to competition form percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
