Abstract

This study aims to present a comparison of knowledge and behavior in their preventing LBP in nursing students. A descriptive and analytical design using a stratified random sampling technique, Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney methods, were used for this research, with 284 nursing students as the sample. The research showed that there is a correlation between knowledge of LBP (p=0.001, α=0.05) and LBP preventative behavior (p=0.002, α=0.05) and LBP complaints, which is quite high among nursing students at the Faculty of Nursing (FON) Universitas Indonesia (UI) across all programs study. There is a correlation between knowledge of LBP, LBP preventative behavior, and LBP prevalence, which is quite high among nursing students at FON UI.
