Resistance behavior of Constant-Resistance-Large-Deformation bolt considering surrounding rock pressure
Abstract
Abstract This paper proposes a new analytical solution of the constant resistance of Constant-Resistance-Large-Deformation (CRLD) bolt. The solution incorporates two novel developments: (i) a new solution of the constant resistance based on the thin-walled circle ring theory with the consideration of surrounding rock pressure; and (ii) a new analysis of the interaction between the sleeve and the cone considering both the friction force and compression force. The proposed solution is then validated via the available experimental data and numerical simulations. The results demonstrate that the rock pressure p leads to an independent increment term of the constant resistance, and this increment is proportional to the value of rock pressure; the consideration of compression between the sleeve and the cone results in an amplification of the classical theoretical solution. Moreover, the amplification factor k increases with the increase of the half cone angle. When p\xa0=\xa00 and k\xa0=\xa01, the proposed solution becomes back to the classical theoretical solution.
