Design of Parametric Modeller for Centrifugal Compressors
Abstract
Abstract Compressor Modeller provides a seamless method of developing CAD models of centrifugal compressor using mathematical relations and experimental results. The developed CAD model can further be utilised for Simulation and Analysis with the ability to implement changes in far less time than conventional method. This is helpful in areas where CAD development time is limited and fast results are needed. The Modeller also provides direct control to the blade geometry with visible feedback after every iteration of design. It is easy to use with few inlet conditions needed to produce a finished CAD design. The Modeller is developed using Python API built into FreeCAD. The blade geometry uses BSpline with data points for primary blade and secondary blade separately. These data points are derived from experimental and industrial results for credible design philosophy.
