Strain hardening and jump-like deformation of microgranular magnesium alloy AZ31 at a temperature of 4.2 K
Abstract
Specific features of the strain hardening and unstable (jump-like) deformation of the microgranular magnesium alloy AZ31 deformed by tension at a temperature of 4.2\u2009K were studied. Non-monotonous dependence of the work hardening rate on deformation and small amplitude of jump-like deformation observed at small deformations of the polycrystalline sample annealed after equal channel pressing are considered to indicate the activation of twinning due to an increase in the grain size in annealing.Specific features of the strain hardening and unstable (jump-like) deformation of the microgranular magnesium alloy AZ31 deformed by tension at a temperature of 4.2\u2009K were studied.
