Abstract

The purpose of this study is to see that the Student Facilitator and Explaining learning model can improve student learning activities and outcomes in learning physics. This Research is a class action research that aims to improve student activity and learning outcomes in the learning process. For that purpose, it is done through three cycles using the model Student Facilitator and Explaining. The Subject of this study is 36 students of the XI Science class of the three senior high schools, conducted on odd semesters on business and energy materials. Through observation and evaluation, demonstrated increased activity and learning outcomes for student physics on each cycle. The increase in student activity is seen from the average percentage of student s activity in cycle I is 62.60%, increasing in cycle II to 68.80%, and increasing again in cycle III to 85.46%. While the average student learning results in cycle I is 62 with a successful number of 17 Students (47.22%). The average student learning results in cycle II becomes 73.77 with a successful number of 23 students (63.88%). Then increased again at cycle III to 77.99 with the number of successful students 32 students (88.88%).
