Improved collaborative skills and environmental literacy through the E-UKBM of surrounding nature exploration

 
 
 
 
 
 

Abstract


The study aims to determine the effectiveness of collaborative skills improvement and environmental literacy through Electronic-Unit Kegiatan Belajar Mandiri (E-UKBM) or Electronic learning activity units surrounding nature exploration in environmental change materials. Sample research is students of X MIPA B-2, SMAN 3 Malang. The instruments used are E-UKBM based Web, observation sheet for collaboration skills with its rubric, peer assessment for collaboration skills, and pretests-posttest for environmental literacy. The results showed before implementation with E- UKBM, students’ collaboration skills tend to be at the primary and moderate levels. Collaborative skills after application have increased to be inclined to level trained and high. The effectiveness of students’ environmental literacy based on the N-Gain score is 0.47 (moderate effectiveness). Environmental literacy improved high in environmental knowledge indicators (N-Gain score is 0.71), but a low increase in environmental attitudes and behavior indicators (N-Gain scores are 0.27 and 0.28). In conclusion, there is a high increase in collaboration skills and a moderate increase in the students’ environmental literacy through the use of E-UKBM of surrounding nature exploration in environmental change material.
