Bi-dimensional availability function and its application
Abstract
Abstract This research article proposes simple approximations based on moments and Riemannian sum for a Bi-dimensional availability function, which is an extension of a univariate availability function. The bi-dimensional availability function is expressed in terms of an integral equation. A closed form analytical solution of such an integral equation has not been discussed in the literature. Examples are provided in four cases: such as the combination of Exponential and Constant alternating renewal processes. Further, an application of the proposed model to warranty is used to test the approximations.
