Dehydration of crude oil by cellulose-based demulsifiers: statistical modeling, sensitivity analysis and optimization
Abstract
Abstract In this research, demulsification performance of Ethoxylated coco-amine and Ethyl cellulose mixture is investigated at various concentrations. The efficiency of agents is formulated mathematically based on the central composite design (CCD) of response surface methodology (RSM) considering temperature, dilution rate, agent concentration, and pH as independent factors. Analysis of variance is performed to identify the importance of factors and interactions. Based on the developed model, the optimum operating conditions are determined via RSM considering dehydration efficiency as objective. The optimum temperature, dilution rate, agent concentration, and pH to achieve maximum performance are 79.3\u2009°C, 9.97%, 854.4\u2009ppm, and 7.65, respectively.
