Abstract

Five Pneumococcal articles introduce an assessment of a PPSV vaccination campaign in Japanese elderly (Kobayashi, p 2661), a commentary on the development of a novel 10-valent PCV (Alderson, p 2670), a trial of sequential administration of PCV-13 and PPSV-23 in older adults (Buchwald, p 2678), safety and immunogenicity study of a novel PCV-7 vaccine (Essink, p 2691), and analysis of vaccine coverage in Danish HIV subjects (Larsen, p 2700). The section on Influenza presents a review of determinants of vaccine immunogenicity (Wen, p 2706), a survey of vaccine coverage in Belgian HCWs (Samyn, p 2719), and a commentary on the vaccination of pregnant women (Maltezou, p 2723). Three studies on HPV highlight vaccine knowledge and attitudes among dentists (Xu, p 2728) and college students (Yin, p 2736) in China, and preclinical development of a new adjuvant for a VLP vaccine (Valencia, p 2748). The Hepatitis segment includes two HBV vaccine immune persistence studies of three doses of HBV vaccine in primary non-responders (Zhu, p 2762) and in Turkish children (Bayhan, p 2768), and a Letter to the Editor on the validation of seroconversion in HBV vaccinees (Zeng, p 2773) with a Response Letter (Zheng, p 2775). Finally, we are happy to introduce a cost-effectiveness study of a 4-valent Meningococcal conjugate vaccine in teenagers (Watle, p 2777), Moroccan National Immunization Technical Advisory Group as an important Public Health body in the region (Jroundi, p 2788), a preclinical trial of a Novel Vaccine against dengue virus (Jearanaiwitayakul, p 2793), a commentary on a novel adjuvant Technology for Covid-19 vaccination based on β-Glucans (Ikewaki, p 2808), and a Letter on a Rotavirus outbreak in China (Lu, p2814).
