Mean velocity profile for turbulent Taylor-Couette flow, deduced from generalized local balance model
Abstract
Mean velocity profile for Taylor-Couette flow was obtained by means of the angular momentum conservation law, the local balance of kinetic turbulence energy and the dissipation transport equation. The resistance law was derived by a simple method. A comparison with the experiment was made for rotating inner cylinder, the outer cylinder was at rest.
