PREFACE

Abstract

It is a great pleasure to welcome you to this second International Conference on Disaster Management 2020, held on 30 September – 1 October 2020 in Padang, West Sumatera, Indonesia, maintaining a topic discussion in 2nd ICDM about Disaster Management 4.0 for the Better Life in the Future. Before, this conference was planned to be on the Universitas Andalas campus. However, due to the Covid19 pandemic situation, the forum is moving to an online conference format, managed from Convention Hall, Universitas Andalas. We decided to continue the conference instead of postponed, because we consider that this conference could give good feedback and significant contributions to all major fields of disaster in theoretical and practical aspects, aiming to provide a platform to the researchers and practitioners from both academia as well as industry to meet and share cutting-edge development in the field. 2nd ICDM 2020 presented ten qualified keynote speakers from around the world: Prof. Louise Comfort and Prof. Mohamad El Ghawady from the United Stated, Prof. Yasushi Sanada from Japan, Mrs. Nadine from the UK, Laksdya TNI Dr. Amarulla Octavian from Defence University Indonesia, Prof. Iswandi Imran from Bandung Institute of Technology, Prof. Werry Dharta Taifur, Dr. Andani Eka Putra and Dr. Febrin Anas Ismail from Andalas University, and Dr. Danny Hilman from Indonesian Institute of Sciences.
