Abstract

To improve the dynamic performance and extend the maximum output torque, this paper proposes a voltage redistribution-based anti-windup scheme for current regulator of induction motor (IM) field-weakening control. In the traditional anti-windup scheme, a constant value is simply applied as the current regulator saturation. However, this will result in current regulator invalidation in the transient process from the base-speed region to the field-weakening region. In contrast, the proposed scheme can relieve the lack of d-axis voltage to achieve fast current regulation, leading to smooth transition from the base-speed region to the field-weakening region. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified on a 3.7kW IM platform.
