DEM Generation with High-resolution Repeat-pass Interferometry for Airborne Squinted SAR Acquisitions

Abstract

In this paper, the experimental results for extraction of high precision terrain information from airborne repeat-pass interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) data are presented. Specifically, a revised InSAR co-registration method, which considers both the local distortion distribution and the non-baseband interpolation, is proposed to perform accurate co-registration. The squinted airborne SAR data acquired in repeat-pass geometry in Shaanxi China are adopted for high resolution digital elevation models (DEM)generation and the algorithm validation. Experimental results illustrate the operation of the proposed technique.
