A Novel Imaging Algorithm for Forward-looking GEO/Missile-borne Bistatic SAR

 
 
 
 
 
 

Abstract


Forward-looking spaceborne/missile-borne bistatic synthetic aperture radar (BiSAR) system with an inclined geosynchronous (GEO) illuminator and a missile-borne receiver is capable of providing higher resolution, better security. However, spatial variability of the echo signal increases the complexity of signal processing. Due to the acceleration of missile, the range cells migration (RCM) becomes larger and the high-order phase cannot be ignored. In this paper, the echo is first transformed into the range-Doppler domain, and then a new transform is defined. Finally, the Forward-looking GEO/Missile-borne bistatic SAR image is obtained through the two-dimensional non-uniform fast Fourier transform(2D-NUFFT). the numerical simulation results verify the correctness of the proposed imaging method.
