An Independently Tunable Uniplanar Dual Band Band-Stop Frequency Selective Surface
Abstract
In this paper, we present a dual band frequency selective surface with independent tunability of the resonance frequencies. The surface is made of interleaved double hexapole elements with intermediate tripoles for confinement of the fields. The resonance frequencies are shown to be tunable by changing a single geometric parameter of the surface. A prototype is manufactured and the match between measured and simulated response is shown. The prototype has stop bands with -20 dB bandwidths of 15.2% at 2.65 GHz and 2.8% at 6.25 GHz.
