N-dimensional M-ary Constant Energy Modulation for Nonlinear Communications Channels

Abstract

In this paper, we present a multidimensional constant energy modulation, which utilizes N-dimensional signal space to provide a very large set of M-ary signal constellations. The modulation is termed as (ND-MCEM). This modulation provides good spectral efficiency while constraining all possible communications symbols to a constant energy with the goal of improving performance over nonlinear communications channels.
